We are also a Mezcaleria and stock a whole range of Artisanal Mezcal and Sotol. Wide selection of Mexican beers and guest Craft beers. Our wine is selected from independent European producers.
Carlito Burrito was founded by Carlito Riestra in 2012.
Born and raised in Mexico, Carlito has worked, managed and built restaurants and bars for most of his adult life, from Mexican, Jamaican, Middle Eastern, Modern British, Vegetarian and raw food restaurants to Michelin star restaurants.
In 2010 Carlito Riestra and music producer Andy Barlow (Lamb, U2 producer) started a catering company “Grassroots” in 2010, trading mainly at festivals.
After a couple of years Andy went back to producing music and Carlito started Carlito Burrito.
As street food is a very important thread in the social fabric of Mexican Culture, Carlito felt it necessary to tell the story of his experience of street food, through his own eyes.
